Reminds me of those two weeks when I was an Alembic owner...

No pics yet, but I just scored a Squier Jazz Bass V Deluxe, in black. Paid less than 200€ for it.
I wanted to try the 5er, but none was good enough. Tried this one after loosing a negotiation for an Epiphone Thunderbird ProV. I wanted to have a broadneck (50mm, 2inches) and a 19mm string spacing so I'm not lost when going back to a 4 banger. Must say I'm very impressed by this instrument. Neck feels great, 3-band EQ with "Slap Switch", decent/standard ergonomics... Low B could be a bit tighter but for the price, I woon't complain.
(yeah, I know, it's a Squier, it's cheap... But I couldn't afford the Buzzard 5 BO that popped up on BassChat... )

fine nice beast... you and i resembles mental brothers... we have the same affinition to collect non collectible basses and make them as new and beauty as we can...lol.... same with my new bass :D

but this time i will let her go for spending money....hahahahahaha

THis one will remain "as is". It's in great shape (well, for a black finish...) and sounds great. CHeap 5er that sounds really better than an Ibby... For half the price. There is a 50+pages on this bass on TalkBass (where they worship Fender... )

gold like this :)

I´m here to bring some common sense...

Gold? Leave it chrome. ;)

I'll go for all black :-) need to gather some cash, the bridge alone costs 150€... Almost the price of the bass :-)

150 euro for a simple black bass bridge?
Sounds like you're getting ripped off.

That's just crazy money for a bass bridge, no matter how good they are.

Yeah, I know. Trying to find other brands with a 19mm spacing... but for 5er's, dat's pretty hard.
I'm in no hurry, though, it's purely cosmetic, and I'm probably not going to put the value of the bass in spare parts. Not this time.
I *might* have sold the Stagg P-bass for what it costed me (waiting for the money, should be next month.... ), I' trying to sell the defretted Jazz and all of the wires/pots/everything I played with at cost, too...
Found a nice fretless (Spector, sorry :-) ) and then I'll go rationale again. Will sell all the cheap thingies and try to stay under the 10-bass limit. Ideally, 6, but I'm sure not going to reach that.
Damned. I'm so bored at work...

Well... yesterday i bought a used Squier Mike Dirnt Signature P-Bass just because it was cheap and I thought I could make something cool with it. It's a light bass, pretty comfy and OldSchool looking, but sounds like crap. I'll try to sell it with a 5€ profit and that's it. I'm done with cheap thingies.

Ok with x-mas lights then :)
