Beautiful
But me no understand - I'm missing the switch.
The Sterling was similar to the Stingray, but with a smaller body, thinner neck, and a 3-way selector (parallel, serial, single).
I think they started in 1993, mine is built in 1994.

It is a Sterling "Classic". There was also a Classic Stingray, both pay tribute to the original Stingray and the preamp being 2 band and trying to be close to the original, in the Classic Sterling you can't choose, only one kind (Ceramic magnets/series) and the Classic Stingray was (Alnico/parallel). Classic Series was built between 2010-2015.

(Both also have One Piece Bodies, String Through Bridge with mutes and Flamed Maple or Birds Eye Maple Necks).

Here's a better shot of that lovely top. I haven't looked it up, but it looks like swamp ash, with walnut neck and (I'm guessing) pau ferro fretboard.
Correction: ash body, roasted maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.

I've played it for hours, as you might imagine. So far my only complaint is that the side dot markers are difficult to see.
