Show Us Your Non- Warwick Bass Then!

Yes. Succesful indeed. Here's a more detailed pic of the Siliconmountain TM5.
I prefer its tone (along with that of the Dolphin) over the Streamer Pro-M I now no longer own.
Not growly but kinda like a jazz with more presence. The pre in there is awesome too.

Now that I come to think of it, both the Dolphin and this bass have a neck pickup with switchable coilmodes. I see a pattern here...

I'd replace the pickguard with a darker tortoise or a clear one, but nice bass dude!

A humbucker should always be splitable. Thanks to Sascha my Infy NT4 has now a splitable humbucker too. Is there a passive mode?

The pickguard: has it the original shape? There would be some interesting options:

Yep there's passive mode. Just found out it is from 2008. Played it with the band and it punches throug very well and has huge lows.
However, it can't even touch the Dolphin's awesomeness in both tone and playability.

Playing multiple bass brands I can safely say this about Warwick vs most other brands: A Warwick will sound good through ANY rig. Other basses are more sensitive to what rig you're gonna be playing through. WP HPW!

I don't own it anymore but it was a good bass and worth a show:

So I was on the hunt for a 5 string fretless and ended up taking the budget(but not necessarily cheap) route.

it was < $500.00 shipped on the bay.

Crazy thing is it feels, sounds, and plays great. It's not my first Carvin so I knew what I was getting into. 1995 Maybe? Mahogany or Koa(wishful thinking) wings?

Those Carvin have nice reputation.

About the woods, my bet is mahogany.

My cheap Olympia (by Tacoma) acoustic with a new bone bridge saddle, propperly setted up (previous saddle was a P.O.S. and poorly setted up, which led to unbalanced volumens between strings and lots of fret noise).

The "Nirvana smiley" is my little tribute to my favorite 90´s "unplugged" shows.

Yeah, acoustic bass guitars need stickers to spread the message of R´n´R! Or Black Metal? ;)

I have the same - Mine has a Stu Hamm autograph for the MoJo. :-)
And yes, it's impossible to set up with the original bridge. Mine is Piccolo strunged. (stringed ? Stranged ? )

Still gotta fix that broken pot and it's gonna get a Badass I on it, but its so sweeeet!

Tell us about those "Bane" pickups, please.

Stingray? :D

You can find more info

They sound quite P-bassy to me, they look amazing AND they are really light, which is a nice bonus.
The bass is like 3.7kg including P-shaped neck and normal tuners.

I'll have to get it fixed first, I kinda .
I also have no means to record te bass with... :(

Aouch.
As for recording, just got one of those thingies :

If they had one for Android with that pricepoint I'd buy one.
