Show Us Your Non- Warwick Bass Then!

Added a John East preamp to my cij Fender mm signature. Bliss.

I did not know that the MM Sig wa also offered with a lacquered finish. Mine was natural. I liked it, but I'm happy to have sold it in order to buy the Pro2.
Anyway, the East preamp in the MM Signature is apparently the best choice you can make. Congrats !

I always really wanted an Alembic, until I actually played one..

I owned one for a short while, it was the only bass ever that I couldn't get along with.

Alembic has the same personality that few basses have, Warwick among them.
I have listened concerts with bassist playing Alembic and I know it is not for me but, I would like to have one, just to know I have it and to watch it like a picture on the wall.

really, i agree it is an elephant compared to a wick.. or other type of alembic, but sounds great, almost like a semi hollow.
It is a big slab of wood under the arm pit..

I just can't get used to the 'stuipid' filter pre-amp thing...

Specs ? Details ?
Look very nice. (I'd put Gold Hardware on Green, but that's just because I'm tacky). :-)

Chris Larkin Reacter.
The finish is an Irish Sea sunburst, ABM Bridge and Schaller tuners.

The Larkin/Citronic three band EQ has an active /passive switch and a passive tone control (which works in both active and passive modes). The 5 way selector switch gives 5 humbucking combinations of the 4 coils. If the coils are numbered 1 and 2 for the bridge, 3 and 4 for the neck and the switch positions 1 to 5 starting from the bridge then the combinations are: pos 1. 1+2, pos 2 .2+3, pos 3. 1+2 and 3+4, pos 4. 1+4, pos 5. 3+4.

The only thing that I really hate is that the EQ knobs don't have a center position...

Nice bass! I owned its prequel; a chris larkin bassix. It was heavy as f00k (6kg!) but sounded really nice.
Kinda like this one but mine was all mahogany with a cocobolo top and a 6 string.

It's a contender to actually leave the place, I could do with the cash and people are always interested in my other basses but we never reach an agreement...

Fender Jazz Bass 64´pale sonic blue, limited edition, CS. Original pickguard was too boring for my taste!

Kruppschnaps! Vacuum foil helps preserve my instruments.
The rainbow ray is not mine but is spending some time here.

Bling bling!

So the trade was successful? Congrats!
