So - how do you guys all look after your amps?
I'm looking for some kind of protection to keep my two Pro FET heads safe whilst in transit.
They're not going to get knocked around much - we're not doing any heavy duty touring, but I'd like something to keep dust off them between gigs, and...
hi guys i need to upgrade my amp because i have finally got myself into a band so solo no more we play hard rock and a littel metal (i wish we played more metal) lol now atm i have a Behringer ULTRABASS BXL3000A now its a 300 watt with a 15 in it and its piss weak and sounds really bad i got...
After my Ashdown mysteriously failing on me 3 times, I am finally getting store credit of $400. I am thinking of upgrading to a bigger amp since I have some spare cash in my bank.
I am set on either a Hartke amplifier... or a Warwick amplifier.
I haven't been to this particular music shop...
I've been looking for a replacement amp for several months to replace my Crate BX100 (I know, I know, not very great, but got it a few years back and since I don't play professionally, never had a great reason to replace). The thing weighs a ton and I want something that I can move around...
Hey, guys,
I've got a decision to make... DBG has been kind enough to loan me a Hellborg amp system for a little while because they wanted me to be able to speak intelligently about it with customers. Well, the time has come for me to put up or shut up. I either have to buy this rig or send...
I received my first Hellborg system yesterday (preamp & 500W Mono PA). Wow!! Very loud, very clean, and very nice tone. I wasn't expecting to be impressed given the 100% solid state pre amp, but this rig sounds REALLY good.
The Hellborg speaker cabs haven't arrived in the US yet, but they...
Ok...so I think I understand most of the 8 ohms vs 4 ohms thing.
When hooking up a 500w-4ohm amp to one of the following....
1. One 500w-4ohm cab - will use full power of the amp, and be loud.
2. One 500w-8ohm cab - will use about 2/3 the power of the amp, and not be as loud.
3. Two...
Heya Guys
Man...I've been chilling out in front of my computer for days now...I've never been known to work tremendously hard at my studies, but I've finally got an incentive to crunch down, and its really happening! I'm pretty damn excited foor this...so I thought I'd share it with you...
my (hopeful) employment source has an old 60 watt fender bassman (head) and a 10 year old polytone little brute. both really cheap...so i may end up with a couple new (old) amps...
I just bought a second hand amp locally. It's a combo amp, but you can actually disconnect the amp from the built in driver and hook it to something else (presumable a cabinet). On top of that, it also has another output right next to that one that can also go out to a cabinet. Now, above...
i am planning to buy a harke 410xl cabinet and its rated somewhere in the 300 watt range at 4 ohms ... and i am planning to buy a warwick xtreme 5.1 head (which is rated in 500 watts) ...
is this a good idea?
id love to get a matching warwick cabinet, but currently, shipping those to the...
is there really a point for these two seperate input jack?
i see them on a lot of amp, mine as well, but is there really a point to have "-6 db" for active input when there is a gain knob?
remember we're bassist, not guitarist; so gain does not equal distortation, lol
Just got a Genz-Benz Shuttle 3.0-10T combo amp today. It is 175W into a 10" and tweeter and with an extension cab, it will do 300W, yet the whole thing weighs only 18lbs. and the head can be detached for use with other cabs if so desired! The sound is HUGE and RICH; I call it the 18 pound...
