I have a question (beeing a Warwick Noob), I read somewhere that there was a change in production proces around 1996-1997. Can someone tell me more about that? I must have read 100's of post the last days but I cant seem to locate it. Someone saying that in these years the quality went up or so?

The quality was always up, because we learned from our mistakes year after year, and improved our instruments.
In 1995 we moved from Pretzfeld to Markneukirchen, so we changed the whole factory :-)
 
Nice Thumb, Archer, but we are not shrinks, we need the serial number to know that kind of info. :)
 
Thumb Bolt-On, Ovangkol Body, Wengé Neck and Fretboard, Bronze Frets (24), JANII, Active MEC PU's, 2-Ways Electronics, Black Hardware. ;)

So, I'd say around 1997-1998.

Even though the JANII is a bit surprising, I was expecting a Brass JAN1.
 
I got the serial number. Its July 1998, with a wenge neck and double action truss rod, as well as the volute behind the head.

I paid for it today and cant wait for it to come...
 
hi all..have my nt5 since 99 as i said else where i love it and hate it sometimes.balance is not an issue but i found it sits to far forward because of the small body makes the reach just that harder.its also a heavy guitar and can get painfull after a long gig..having said that the punch and drive makes it all worth it,other guitars i have while have their place the nt5 always gets first choice...had i know then what i know now i would have got myself the broad neck.ahhh welll maybe someday..

Excited, I`ll love to try one of the new Korean Thumbs, and if price and sound are right (compared to a German Thumb BO), they sould be a killer buy.
 
I just saw the Thumb Proline on the site, and I am DYING to know more...I might actually be able to afford a Thumb!!!!
 
I started with Streamer II... I think it was 1994. 1995 i bought my first thumb (NT5) and since then i've been totally thumbamized. My latest custom shop (Gallery #402) NT6 is a true beauty ;-) ... at least to my mind ;-))
