The wiring ... ah ... I guess it is correct. I should say more precisely, the pickups and electronics work well, but last time in studio, the sound engineer said, that the noise out of the bass is too much. And I think a bass in this upper class should not sound too noisy.

Hmm, my Buzzard was no bargain, but the new Warwick electronics can be noisy. So: did YOU realize a change in the level of noise or was it only the sound engineer? And does the effect appear in all places (studio/home/rehearsal room)?

Hey guys, have you ever seen what I would call or compare to " false routing holes" inside the electronics cavity on any Warwick bass? One of my friends german made 2003 thumb 5 nt bass had 2 of these, very small where it looked like someone started drilling in a certain spot to route wires but then stopped (def from factory not someone else as bass was new). Not sure exactly unless they are some type of drill marks from a machine as if numerous wire routing holes are started or "marked" by default by Warwick before they are drilled out completely acting as a guide of sorts, depending on the model of the bass. Any info would be appreciated, maybe take a peek at your basses and let me know, these marks were observed in the upper left corner of the electronics cavity. Thanks.

It is no voodoo. I already recognized this noise but in studio the monitors don't have mercy.
 
3D printed my thumb horn extension idea, unfortunately don't own a thumb to try it on anymore!

THe fat part should go on the bass and the smaller part should host the straplock?

Hi, yes that's how it works but you will need a long screw with a low head to go through both.

Hi Thumb Riders :)

So, I know what Thumb with bubinga body (late 80s - early 90s) sounds, but how this "new" thumb pro series (ovangkol neck and body) sounds in compare? Is there a significant difference in sound or just modest one? If there is a differrence, in what direction does it go - more agressive sound (midrange growl), or more mellow? I know that pickups placement is big part of Thumb sound, but i was wondering about wood used and what differences does it makes
 
Recently got back in the Warwick game with this '02 Thumb NT4 (8.7 lbs/3.9 kg, fairly slim C neck)...

Sanded out some marks made by the previous owner, added HS Ultralite tuners, EMP light strings, and Howard's Feed and Wax...good to go! Kinda wish it had Bartolini PUs and Pre though, as I'm not a huge MEC fan... :-)
