Hello, here is my new, but used, but lovely thumb nt 97 :


and OMG this bass is only about pleasure (confort, tone, look, everything)

Sadly, as you can see in the last picture I got 2 tuning machines kinda damaged (still working tho). If anyone know where to find theses old one which says 'west germany', I'd like to replace it with the exact same one. (I just like to have my instruments with the original pieces). Or repair the original one, if possible (maybe it's just about changing the rings thing, don't know...)

hi, i am considering joining the Thumb Club, in addition to the streamer and the corvette.
I have 2 options, a used 1999 4 string (£700), or brand new pro series £700.
the 1999 is unknown condition, but it looks ok, and i have asked for the serial numbers to get them checked out.
the pro series is brand new, and i could return it within 30 days if i dont get on with it.
i have 2 german wicks, and 1 rockbass. they all sound great, how different is the PS from the german built.....

My '92 thumb bass, I had this converted from a lined fretless to a fretted about 6 months ago and it's one of the best (bass related) decisions i've made. It's receiving a whole lot more attention now!

Looks sooper nice. Warwick frets on an ebony fretboard = perfect contrast.

Who did the refret job? Seems perfectly done. You don't even see the frets tang? (you know, the part that actually goes into the wood) on the sides of the fretboard.

Thanks. I had the refret done by a local luthier called Richard Meyrick. I remember that when the frets arrived the tang didn't extend to the end of each fret, perhaps this is how the 'invisible' fret look is achieved.

These frets are a lot larger than those on my Dolphin.
