=The Warwick Thumb Club=

I'm going to play Bach's Bourrée (of Jethro Tull fame) with a professional classical flutist, straight J.S.B. version and only remotely close to Glenn Cornick's line with Ian Anderson. Today was the first rehearsal. I brought 3 basses, a Fender P, the Alien, and the Thumb. We played through the piece a few times, I started on the P, went to the Alien, and then suggested to give the FL a try. After a few notes she said: "You gotta play the piece on this bass. That's the tone I want."

What can I say? The Thumb's it for classical, as well, it seems. Thumbs up! 8:
 
Le Barbudesque Flo' already said it several times, but I can confirm it : each time I got compliments about my bass tone, I was playing a NT Thumb (4 & 5, fretted).

Maybe it's the best (sounding) bass ever (except for the weight and neck dive tho haha)?

I've got to try with the SSII...

Hi guys,
Been a long time i haven't come on this forum, juste passing by say "hi"!
Still have my 97' NT4, still a beast, played now throught a Markbass CMD102, what a punch in da face!
I had a broken neck, behind the nut almost 2years ago, repaired by my luthier. The truss rod was pushed too far and this 97' did not had a volute, so the truss rod has passed throught the wood.The luthier did a reinforcement of the trussrod with a piec of iron, made it glued for 2weeks (wengé's so an hard wood), and now everything's ok .

So, I went crazy and ordered a Thumb PS 5 fretless from Thomann. Hey, I couldn't help myself, it was on sale!!! :eek:
