I use regular Warwick beeswax, the photos are a bit worked, I bumped up the contrast a bit and saturated the colours, but it's mostly just the natural light reflecting off of the freshly buffed thumb :)
I use lemon oil on the fretboard :)
 
Well, finally my german thumb arrived (my roommate decided to put it on the bed so when I would be back from job would find two sexy basses waiting for me to sleep).

I will post high quality photos of them bot. I was in love on my PS Thumb BO but now and sadly the german one will say "get the hell out of here, I am more sexy". :P

Just some kind of questions to make:

I never had a curved body shape bass until the PS Thumb BO. I decided to put these two this night and the PS body is more "curved-body shape" than the german

The wenge neck looks really dark (Warwick YT videos and the photos on this thread shows a clear wenge). I will upload the photo but my thumb got a dark wenge (like the one we can see on the Corvette FSC).

P.S. I love black hardware and JAN III brass so my PS got them (Like Nachobassman says on his signature, gold hardware does not look that great, sadly I bought it for one of my basses :(( ).
 
I loved the PS Thumb BO in white finish the first time I saw the official pics, and looking at it on a "real" pic confirms my thoughts: It looks sexy. I can haz one 4-string fretless. 8:

Hola amigo.

Well, I loved it from website, it was really hard to find since website says that it is not longer available on this finish. Thank God a friend of mine who sells warwicks on eBay told me he had one and kept it for me until I could pay it.

It is really sexy, sounds amazing, the curved body shape is sooo hot (even more than the german one, I do not know why the PS has a bigger curve but I love him).

Go for it, sexy PS thumb BO fretless cream white must be an instant orgasm. :3
 
PS - The cream white with the black hardware works nicely :twisted:

I still need to find a good deal on a stock 3-band for the B/O.

I've finally found a Thumb NT(made in 2003) that I could afford to purchase and now currently waiting on it to arrive to the cold tundra of Alaska!! I'll be posting pics when she arrives! I do have a quick question though, how easy would it be to switch to the brass nut?
 
Very easy :) I believe if you are really struggling you can check out a video on youtube that shows a step-by-step method of removing a just-a-nut II, which I believe your bass should have, and replacing with a just-a-nut III :) But to summarise, all you need is a little blade to prise existing nut off from behind the truss rod cover, scrape any residual glue off and use the tiniest amount of glue to fix the new nut in place.

Since I got my thumb, I don't really lust for other kinds of basses, just more thumbs... I guess one could call that some kind of evil, yes.

Awesome!! Thanks for the video! Seems extremely simple and quick. I think it would liven up the sound quite a bit. My USA Spector sounds amazing with the brass nut, could only imagine the difference on the thumb. Really excited to recieve my thumb soon! Still waiting on shipping :eek:
 
Something that video doesn't mention, and that I've had to do to any bass I've installed a JANIII on that didn't previously have one, is to trim about a mm of material off the trussrod cover piece that butts up to the nut. Otherwise it will interfere with the nut and/or the screw holes won't line up.

I laughed at "In the rare event" of Just A Nut II sidepost breaking. LOL. EVERY Just-A-Nut II I've ever seen has been broken.
