=The Warwick Streamer Club=

i once tried playing with no battery, and i had very little sound with gain and master at the max, on passive mode. on active mode, nothing
so i suppose the battery gives power to the pickups even on passive mode

Hello Greg,

I had a problem with the battery once at the reaharsal, it just died on me, the sound was interrupted and thin. I swiched on passive mode and the sound was OK. As far as I know my streamer has active soapbar...maybe the week battery was enough only for the pups?

Yes, if the battery is good you can still play for a while, but it will die eventually. If you have active pickups you need battery.

Picked up a '96 Streamer B.O yesterday, sounds fantastic and plays very well. It appears to have rosewood fretboard and three-piece maple neck, but I can't identify the body wood. It is so light and balanced :D

Thanks man! I guess in that case it's had a HP finish? The texture is very glossy.
Contrasts so nicely with my very dark sounding 'vette.

It's honey violin coured oil on a beautiful bird'seye/quilted maple.

I'll email Warwick this weekend with the requested pictures, is it possible they will be able to pull information on a 1996 bass? Thanks loads for help with identifying the woods and finish, I guess only the neck should be waxed?
Can't put the thing down! Gah, I need to revise...

They will be able to provide some information - they did for my '94 Streamer!

Yeah, I think it has a two pieces matched on the front, and then different pieces on the back. There is a line running down seperating the two- looks like bubinga. It is pretty visible on the top horn in this picture:

Thanks ( :
I wish I could do it justice in playing...
