Show Us Your Non- Warwick Bass Then!

One day, I'lll make a jazz bass with a 44mm nut, lined fretless neck and a set of barts. Can't get used to the 38mm nut.

It is all in your mind Henry. I stopped caring and now play any neck without thinking about it. The Zon neck profile is colossal compared to the Vette $$. I love both.

Neck widths I can deal with. Bridge spacing of varying distances - not so much. If only everything was 19mm.

On the right, my DIY Thoman kit.
On the Left, the (wait for it)... "Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass V"
With a surprisingly Warwick-esque 47.6mm nut width and neck profile. Already like it very much, especially for the 180€ it costed me. Of course, the Dolphin Pro1 BN is far superior, but what would you expect with a >10x price ratio.

I can't cope with the narrow spacing, really. I thought that the Buzzard had a 44mm neck, but as a Bolt-On it was a 38.5mm. Never measured, never find my comfort. Anything below 42 is non playable for me.

Nice pair Henry!

If you decide to lose the 5er lemme know :)

My two MTD keepers (along with my '02 Thumb NT4)... I also have a Sadowsky NYC PJ5 (alder body gloss black/bwb pickguard/maple board) in process...due at the end of this year. Hope I'm GAS-free with those four... :-)

Ortega "Striped" acoustic bass. Very noble! That armrest is a big win.

Got this little baby for 300€. Always wanted a Rick-ish-backer, but never cared for the price and lefthanded options, so when this Rockinbetter turned up, I jumped on it. It`s almost unused, fresh strings, neck-through, a little fret-buzz, but fast neck and comfy in use. The sound is really punchy, and vintage-y.

Does it sound like a Rich? Probably not, and I don`t care either. It`s a "Nicht-ein-backer"!
