Picked this up from a tattoo'd biker guy (he had his Harley in the living room!) who hadn't touched it in years:
Old 60/70's Jolana Diamant bass, weighs 3.9kg and sounds pretty thumpy. It's 30", put some old stainless strings on it but i'm looking for new ones (Suggestions!?)
Need to find a new 3 way rotary switch and a chrome chickenhead knob and it's good to go!
So I traded the NS CR4(the big one - no mags) for an Elrick Gold series Evolution 5 fretless. Therefor it is necessary to update this thread
I also recently re-acquired a bass I sold 3 years ago which I had purchased new in 1991(as I recall) and was my main gigging bass for years. It's a Peavey TL-5 and I had the bridge swapped for a larger Kahler shortly after I bought it(the first time).
Don't think I've shown off my '14 Ibanez SR1200 yet. Love this bass. Very well made, with some impressive specs for the wood and components. Super fast neck. Plays like a dream. It also uses invisible fret tech. Impressive.
Body: Mahogany, Ovangkal top
Neck: Wenge, Bubinga streamers
FB: Rosewood, abalone inlays
Tuners: Gotoh
Pups: Nordstrand big singles
