Wow great pair, never had the opportunity to play one of these but I'm guessing they're pretty amazing.

I really really love em. Making me sell my SE $$ among other things.

Why? I guess a number of things. One being my love for oldskool rock and progrock tone and for this a Ric is the one... Secondly the response of passive instruments being more to my taste then actives. I tried a Warwick with passive pickups instead of active mecs but no, still dig total passive more. Third being of all the passive basses I have played these have te most comfortable necks and string tension (they are a little over 33" scale) and lastly black rics just look so damn awesome I can't hold myself together seeing one.

Also, Lemmy.

Awesomes!

That´s a sexy pair.

BTW, one with shark fin inlays and no binding will look amazing.

Every time I look at the StarBass there, I'm blown away by the bookmatched flamed maple. I should have taken a picture of the back, it's gorgeous and super even. My plan is to biamp this bitch so I have a clean line and then a line with tons of crazy effects going on. Sort of a blending of its original vintage vibe and modern space shot sounds lol

I had a lot of fun with mine! Because there is no feedbacking you can play the heaviest distortion sounds with it at any volume!

When I was trying it out, I was running it through a Darkglass B3K, and it was INSANE. This bass also has sustain for days on the low B string. Ive never owned a bass that had that much sustain on the first frt of the low B string. It was insane.

Reactions: RIP
This was one of our roughest gigs ever. Insane loud, crowd was jumping up to the roof. And I played a Star Bass in sunburst. People were thinking we are a Jazz Band till we started, lol! 4 string...
