Show Us Your Non- Warwick Bass Then!

Mr. Tom Thump, some seriously interesting basses there! Esp. the Kobe, Burns, Fender antigua, never seen basses like these before.

Thank you kindly.
They are relatively rare. Any of them were made for only a short time.
The Kobe plant disappeared in the earthquake, The Burns Shadows bass was produced just a couple of years. (Mine is a '65). Until a short lived re-issue line some years ago (by Squier IIRC), antigua was a Fender phenomenon in '78 only.

My world-champion, Peavey Cirrus 5 Custom Shop.

18V

Hardware :
Hipshot bridge, Ultralight tuners, Graphtech nut, Switchcraft jack...

Sound : to die for (serious too !)

All this for a ridiculous price (-1000€ used)

I've finally had a chance to get my hands on one of these (Peavey Cirrus) to play for a few minutes and I see why you like them so much!

That Peavey looks absolutely great, I 'd love to hear how it sounds too.

Thiz iz my 7ender Jazz ... I asked a luthier to defret her last year and da main reason for that waz that she waz hangin useless on da wall all da time... I thought that maybe once she waz fretless, I'd use her more often ...but last weekend I came to da conclusion that that'z not da case, simply cause I think I'm not made for playing fretless (yet ?) and I wanna spend all my (practise) time on other thingz....anywayz, last sunday I brought her to that same luthier and asked him to put da fretz back on... 8:

Well, it's à tone monster, in the modern/active/organic genre. Although I gave their chances to many others (including several Wicks), nothing comes close to it's sound, versatility and playability.
I've recorded many clips with this bass, too many to have you listen to all of them, but here are some representative ones :

- slapped low B

- fingaz (latino than funk)

- in a heavy rock mix (my band), with some silly tapping at the end :

I somehow forgot all about this thread, it sounds absolutely FANTASTIC! :-)

Hi, here's my current lineup incl. vintage W's, '01 Musicman Stingray & '81 Tokai Hard Puncher.

Amazing bird you have there, amazing.

Is the bridge stock? It doesn´t look like a normal Gibson bridge.

Heh, Hipshot makes awesome bridges, I have the Hipshot Ric replacement bridge on my 4003, works soo much better... then I lost the mini screw that holds a sandle in place when strings not on... but I know to never forget, lol.

here's my Ibanez Sr3000e 4 stringer in action. enjoy :)
