Just got myself a little keeper. NT5 2001. Quite a few things to re-do set up, but really looking forward to come back from holidays for it. Absolutely in love with it.

I have also a 98 Fortress One and, though I love it to bits, the Thumb has an indisputable level of clarity and aggression.

As I've said here somewhere, I was eagerly expecting this moment in my life. And I am a father already.
 
Hi guys,

i am about to get me a 1991 Thumb NT 5 from a fellow bass player. It is in pretty good condition
exept for a little scratch at the lower horn. The only thing that keeps me a little uncertain is the
asked price (and thats why I am asking you guys right now ;) ).
The guy asks for 1400€...is it to much? just right? a great deal?

of course i will post some hot pics of it after i have bought it, so no worries here.
would be great to read some advice.

It is just right for today's prices, and a great deal if you consider the new price of this bass! Be sure you play it before buying, and very important, that you play it with a strap. It is a heavy bass, and has a different position than the average Fender like bass :-)
 
Ask for some discount, or maybe seller to absorb shipping.

I paid about that much for a time-capsuled 86 Streamer. No regret ever after.
