I checked your page out, and man... that Bongo of yours sounds pretty good, too. The Bongo may not sound as clear and snappy, but it does have it's own sound and chords did it justice.

The perfect Wick I had been looking for , after owning a big dozen of her german sisters.

Here are some pics of a quite rare Thumb Bolt-On 5, for you Thumb-addicts.

As most of you may know, there's been 4 main versions of the Thumb BO from the introduction of the line in 1994.

1 - 1994 : walnut body, full wengé neck, one-way removable trussrod, JAN1 nut, chrome harware, recessed Dunlop strap-locks
2 - 1995-1997 : straight grain bubinga body, full wengé neck, one-way removable trussrod, JAN1 nut, chrome harware
3 - 1998-1999 : ovangkol body, full wengé neck, two-way trussrod, JAN2 nut, black hardware
4 - 2000-today : ovangkol body, ovangkol neck, two-way trussrod, JAN2 nut, black hardware (JAN3 and C-shape neck since 2009)

I had the chance to have version N°2.

But they are somehow a bucker when you use them together.
kascollet, that's a beautiful bass, and I doubt that the sandwich body was standard. I think it was a Custom Shop order at that time

I think the body shape was difrent at the bo and the nt antil 97 .and in my opinion at the bo was more beautiful then...

I don't have this BO anymore but I remember being surprised by the light weight and the very resonnant body (much more than my NT).
So, it may be a custom with chamber option.
The sound was really good by the instrument balanced very poorly. Biggest neck-diver I've ever played.
