no,they're in the same position they've been in for years.
 
allright but mine is from '06 i bought it in germany in summer. i will get it in winter for my 18th birthday tho. buts thats another story. anyways : on my crappy picture u can a see a normal and one diagonal pickup. ont the 2 thumbs from '09 u can see 2 times diagonal so they did changed it a few years ago?










and with the last picture i would like to officially join the thumb club.

You're comparing a 4 string with a 5 string.
The 4 has it's bridge pickup angled & it's neck pickup straight.
The 5 has both angled.
These positions have been this way from the begining.

well guys i have further joined the thumb club with my recent purchase of this 1987 warwick thumb. pictured with my 1997 thumb.

Its different the status graphite hyperactive have a very bright punchy sound compared to the organic growly punch the mec jazz pickups have. The hyperactives make for quite the sweet spot with some real good tone capabilities. Like I said in my other post its a noticeable contrast. They can achieve a modulus sounding tone for slap pop and a good bass growl for low tunings. And you can still hear that wood from the body. the neck is fantastic it feels faster than my 97 thumb. when i have the time i will record some sound samples of each so everyone can hear it. I have also put thought about in the future expanding the pickup slots and getting some mec humbuckers but thats just a thought in my crazy head.:lol:

The thumb you sold me is really something special (It is a NT fretless, with a really nice bright sounding fretboard, defretted, but still have a nice smooth feel).

The new strings I used really popped the sound out.

I might change some spacing on the nut.
Nice monster sound.

Well balanced. Everything I ever wanted in a fretless.
I'll get a pic up.
