I prefer the portability of the RockBag and it's well-padded enough to instill confidence in me.

I also have a wood panel RockCase flight case that is form fitted to my Dolphin Pro I. Man is that thing heavy... Guess if i ever fly to a gig, I'll be taking the Dolphin. :D

I just ordered two new Premium line RockBag for my basses. The thumb came in a RockCase but it's so huge, heavy and not very portable. I'm not using it at all. Good for transport though.
 
+1 on the Rockbag.
It depends what you're doing with your basses.... if you're carrying them round in the back of a car (which is what I do)... fine. If I was throwing it in the back of a van, I'd want something more sturdy... if it's going in a plane, I'd want a couple of armed guards with it!

Put the Thumb in the Rockbag, and put the Rockbag in the case. :D The Katana fits in the case great by the way, but Greg you have to admit to be a Warwick product they are kinda cheap. :roll:

It happened under very dark and secret rituals with naked blond virgins and goat blood . Not very many people knew about this....
 
My investiture as a freak involved a big sweaty guy called Neville and a bowl of cold custard... :shock: How come I didn't get the naked blond virigns? (I'm not bothered about the goats' blood)

I think I'll be complaining to Warwick HQ!

I'm slightly nervous about chipping in here, cos I'm hoping this discussion can stay as a calm conversation between Warwick fans trying to help the company keep on top its game. But I want to say that the case that came with my Thumb (bought earlier this summer) looks to be exactly the same as Hoggles's case. I bought my thumb new, direct from Warwick, but the case had exactly the same kind of outward dent as Hoggles described. The padding inside looked to me like it was protecting the bass ok, but I can't imagine how that dent can have occurred except by the bass moving around inside the case and knocking against the bottom.

After some searching I think that maybe the people that've experienced problems with their flight cases being to big might've received the X-large Rockcase,Artcode RC 10831 B,instead of the Artcode RC 10830 B Rockcase.
But I might be wrong here.

Would that Artcode be written on the label somewhere? If so I'll go and check - cos it sounds like you might have figured out the problem.

I dunno if the Rockcases come with their own dogtag like the basses.If they do & you have one,please let me know.

It looks like they do come with a tag:


Which seems to show clearly that this is the standard case, not the extra-large one. And while I was hunting and shooting that I took some pics of my dent:




The bottom pic reminds me of my daughter when she's cross and sticks her bottom lip out!

mart, I wonder what your bass would have looked like without that RC. Those RCs are not high-end cases but for ~80€ you get what you pay for.

A moderate kick in the butt of that case will fix the dent in no time.

My RC looks like it's been through WW3, it still works though and it does its job, whenever I use it.

well here is my new NT5. I got it from Thndrtrk6 here at the forum my NT4 for his NT5. I played it at church yesterday and it rocked the house.I am so thrilled because I got the sound I needed.
