=The Warwick Thumb Club=

I'm proud of join to Thumb club. This is my new six string fretless. It has the best sound of my all bases.

Does anyone happen to know what strap locks this uses? They look a lot like Dunlops, but they don't fit the strap end part of my dual designs. It's from 1990, it's also possible these are aftermarket as I believe most stock Warwicks back then were Dunlop flush ones.

Think they are Schaeller. I have an 89 NT Thumb and use the Schaeller strap attachments on mine.

New to this thread so thought i better post my Thumb 89 NT that i've had from new.
It was my dream bass and altho its had a few issues like the encapsulated pre-amp failed in the first year and was returned to Warwick in Germany. Repair completed and i was presented with a hand written apologetic letter and several sets of Elites strings, a very nice hoody and various posters and other little bits and pieces. I was very touched and impressed.
Since then the pre-amp failed again approx 10yrs ago and Warwick no longer supply the encapsulated pre-amp and the only option was to use the MEC pre-amp with the existing EMG pick ups.
It did appear to change the tone very slightly and i sometimes wonder if going for an EMG pre-amp might have been the better option. ?
It has the most beautiful neck and so easy to play. It never leaves the house these days and at 65 yrs old now i might struggle to wear it for a full 2hr gig.
Its just such a gorgeous bass in my opinion.

Warwick TeamBuilt Thumb BO 5-String Natural

ITS here!! So excited! Bit plainer than I expected. The finish is perfect. Sound is amazing, everything I hoped for and more. Along with my Stringray i’m the king of growl. 😁
- Changed the strings to NYXL. Stainless are like brutal rods to me.
- Changed the strap locks to schaller to match all my basses. Don’t like the warwick straplocks.

Welcome to the family. I’m a recent convert also. I now have 3 warwicks. Thumb 5, Corvette fretless 6, Musicman fretless 5. I’ve gotta stop looking at reverb. 😁
