    Very nice Thumb, congratulations.

    Mine seems to be broken as well.
    Neither was my flat ever cleaned while I was away nor was my fridge refilled.

    Maybe I should call big T and ask for a repair or something like that...

    Hi Thumb players

    I just saw this ad for a used Thumb 5 stringer bass, with a rather drastic approach regarding the famous Thumb neck dive issue:

    Translated from Danish:

    Elbass, Warwick Thumb NT5

    From 1996. Been modified by Mørch (well known Danish guitar/bass builder) in 2001. Michael Friis (well known Danish bass player) has in corporation with Mørch, developed the string attachment behind the head, which have resulted in a fantastic sustain. The bass is in good condition and sounds amazing.

    Love or hate the look.

    Kr. 9.000,-
    $ 1.420,-
    € 1,210,-

    The Blonde is home- working on the setup; s.th. must be wrong with their CNC machines - to fix it they did a shim but the original was not enough. Based on my expert luthier skills, I addad a layer sanding paper :cool: string height is goog 20201106_180216.jpg 20201106_181148.jpg

    Took the Blonde for a foto shoot - here we go: no dings/dongs, maple top, beautiful inlays (mount Fuji and the howling wolves). Black hardware 20201107_113701.jpg 20201107_113714.jpg 20201107_113727.jpg

    With the setup completed, the bass is very playable. Walnut layer between maple top and swamp ash back. The 5 piece maple/walnut neck and maple fretboard give it a bright sound.

    Happy with the purchase - beautiful instrument, great sound (need to change the strings), even lighter than my maple Streamer I, no neck dive, easier playable than my '88 bubinga thumb. Someone wrote on the back of the headstock ....

    Thanks fellas; I had to save the after 3 months on the small adds (and 1250 views). Strange enough the seller's name Anselm, not Hans...

    Running now the BRUSSELS WICKS SHELTER :cool:
