=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Sorry yes, the early ones were Cherry, as per the earliest NT Streamers, so I suppose you could ask why they changed those... and then went back to the Cherry for the Ltd Ed! LOL

hi babarjo,
we changed many things the last 30 years. SOmetimes because our customers requested - for example I think maple body + wenge neck is a much better combination than cherry+ maple. Or not necessary better, but it has more of the famous "Warwick Growl"

I know, because streamer LX is my main axe now :-)
And don't forget, we do have the Custom SHop, you can always order a bass with cherry body and maple neck.

Thanks Florin, I have a streamer bolt-on (95) and love her, it's a rare bass with a sound that no other has!

Hi my 3 DSC00979.jpg
a 91 Streamer ,97 Pro M 97 and a SSII

My perfect Streamer would be a $. Not an $$ but $:) Just one MM in the middle position, with the switch:)

Why would you swap out a TJ for a MM pup???????? Madness! i would love to get a TJ put in my jazzman, go the other way around.

Hmm, the LX has more growl than a bolt on? I´m not convinced. My Streamer bolt on (7-piece-neck) has more growl than any other of my Warwicks. Maybe the Infinity can catch up. The Streamer bolt on just misses the very hights of brilliance, but that can depend on the strings I use (Elixir Nanowebs). On the other hand my SSI is equipped with Nanowebs too and shows the whole details... But the same type of strings works different on every bass (in my opinion). Anyway: the best growl of my Wicks delivers the Streamer bolt on! Should I check a LX for some even better results?

Right in the moment I´m selling that Streamer because I just do not use it enough any more. A SSI CS took its place! I hope I will not miss the bolt on afterwards. It is also my one and only bass with natural finish. Oh, a hard decision!

acutally there where 10 instruments made for station music in Jettingen Scheppach (near Ulm)
they seem to be no longer a Warwick Dealer. Would be interesting to know how this bass ended up at Thomann:-)

I somewhere have pics where all of them are seen

yours is the one in the back I think

here is a list

Here I got one

Advice on My First Streamer?

Howde,

Looking to buy myself probably a vintage streamer.
I've always had thumbs in the past so not sure how the new streamers compare to the older ones.

I prefer the older thumbs to the newer ones ( well the new ones that I've played) so I'm torn between all this beautiful wenge...

And these two

Any thoughts would be appreciated....

My opinion - get the newer one.

New electronics, new cleaner wood, but with the older body styling. All about the same price too.

But the older ones attracted me with the maple stringer on the back of the neck. Don't really like the one piece wenge look of the newer neck.
