Q: how do the SSIIs differ from the p/j streamer? I know afzelia and maple are way different kettles of fish, but from a player's point of view... am curious!
cheers
The p/j Streamer has a slighty more "open" sound - less compressed sounding & the bottom end blossoms more because of the maple, I think. The "p" pickup adds more low end punch as well.
My Stage IIs are still my favorite though. They cut through the mix in a live situation & have plenty of low end & growl. They sound great recorded in the studio as well.
Well, I'm sure you understand, since you have one!
Cheers!

I felt compelled to add that both my Streamer Stage IIs are the best basses overall that I have ever laid my hands on, out of the 50 or so basses I have owned in my 20+ years as a bass player - nearly half of which have been Warwicks! What does that tell you? (LOL)
Anyway, cheers to Warwick for making the best basses in the world!
Nice! You just couldn't resist it, eh?Ryan L. said:This one will be in my hands by the end of the week, courtesy of Greg at Rocket Music:

Maybe it was an LX or Stage 1.
