Streamer Bolt-on

Hello - here's a rarity for y'all. This is a 1993 Streamer with a bolt on neck - it's not an LX or an SSI or even a "Streamer Bolt-on". The truss rod cover calls it a "Warwick Streamer Bass". I emailled the nice people at Warwick to ask about it a few years ago and was informed that it was a very early version of what became the "Streamer Bolt-on" and then evolved into the LX.

Welcome to the Streamer Club and the Warwick family. Those vintage 'Wicks are rare and highly reguarded amonst the Warwick insiders! Congrats!

Thanks - I am the original owner. I bought it on Denmark St in London in April of '93. I just discovered this forum today. What a treasure trove of information !

Very nice Lex.
There's 1 more space left on that stand, for the Fender?

As I said on the SZC: WOW.

At the moment it's got the DiPinto Semi-Hollow bass :D

I just found out that my new stage 2 was the very bass used to record an awesome Aussie bands debut album earlier this year.
The album is,"The Majority",by an awesome Aussie band called,"Mammal".
Jono(Anarchy ok) deserves some credit as well for bring this to my attention & yesterday I received an email from Mammal's bass player & Warwick endorsee,Nick Adams, replying to a message I sent to the band, asking if it's the same bass. Now that it's been confirmed,I love my stage 2 even more.Mammal are an amazing band & I recommend you all hit the links below to see just how good they are,& see for yourself the high standard of music that Aussie bands are famous for.For such a remote location,& such a small population,we churm out some incredibly good music.Mammal are imo,an good example of that level of talent. In the rock scene here, there are loads of Warwick bass driven bands, like Fading Hour,COG,Dead Letter Circus,Mammal,Karnivool & many others.Makes me proud to be an Aussie Warwick player. :)
Thanks to Nick Adams for the email & the generous offer to sign the control cavity cover for me at their next Sydney show,& the mojo above the neck pickup. To quote Nick,"
got to play em hard though or they wont respect you!"

To hear my baby in competent hands, check out their album,The Majority.
Check em out
ad em to your friends
leave em a message

:D

That's by far the most beautiful bass I've ever seen. OK, the white ones are cool and funky but the fretless could easily be my lover...

@Greg: Sick Puppies is another Warwick driven Aussie band.... They rock.

I shall reiterate what I've said earlier: Lex, your basses rock!
And great SSII Greg!

Meh...

Not convinced...

I mean it's only four kinds of awesome, so for a young jaded mind like mine, one that is also old and cynical, it doesn't do squat...

I need at least twelve kinds of awesome to feel anything, really...

oh baby.That's a stunner Thomas.
Is the end pin ok?It looks a little crooked. The rubbers can perish, but are easily replaced, which is advisable so the screw doesnt work itself loose inside the wood.I've seen you're band play live & that'll happen, with all the jumpin round you blokes do.
Between you & me.
The Streamer club has the hottest chicks.Heaps hotter than the Thumb club & the Corvette club? They only go there coz of the size their upper horns.

Me wanna play too
