Awesome!

Hur gammal är den (how old is it)?

Is it a custom order, or just an exceptional piece of afzelia as top wood?

Here's a picture of my Streamer Family (all of the basses I currently own):

Solo pictures to follow...

I love the color of the 4-string stage II

Actually the 1991 4-string SSII is afzelia. I was told by Dana B. Goods (distributor for Warwick in the U.S.) that afzelia back in the day sometimes had the dark brown color as opposed to the usual color you see for afzelia like my SSII 5-string shown in the pictures. If you look at the grain of the wood you can see the pattern of the afzelia matches that of the 5-string even though the color of the 5-string is the lighter golden color you usually see for SSIIs as opposed to the dark brown of the 4-string.

I see.
I got you mixed up with the owner of the bubinga SS2 here.
Sorry dude. :)

No worries, it's all good. Actually Florin responded to me in an email that I sent to him asking him about the wood on the bass belonging to the dude with the 4-string bubinga SSII that the wood on that bass is actually afzelia & not bubinga.

I wonder if that's the same bloke that emailed Warwick with the serial number & was told it's bubinga.
The mystery deepens.

oh baby.That's a stunner Thomas.
Is the end pin ok?It looks a little crooked. The rubbers can perish, but are easily replaced, which is advisable so the screw doesnt work itself loose inside the wood.I've seen you're band play live & that'll happen, with all the jumpin round you blokes do.
Between you & me.
The Streamer club has the hottest chicks.Heaps hotter than the Thumb club & the Corvette club? They only go there coz of the size their upper horns.
yeah, the screw is just bent. I'll probably replace the Warwick strap locks with Schaller, because they're much more secure and don't stick out as far. at this point i'm not playing with my band because i've gone away for school but i'm about to start looking for one around here.

I forgot to mention this 1990 SSII is tonally my favorite of 5 different 4-string SSIIs that I have owned in the past 5 years and the one I ended up hanging on to.

I also had a 1990 SSII, a different 1991 SSII, a 1997 SSII, & a 2002 SSII. The other 1991 was real close to this one but was in worse condition cosmetically & the 1990 needed new frets. The 1997 & 2002 SSIIs sounded great but were missing a certain mojo that the early 90's ones had.

It's amazing how the identity of body woods gets quoted as whatever people think is Ai) the most desirable/expensive Aii) the rarest Aiii) whatever happens to look closest from other pics; rather than what is Bi) the cheapest Bii) the most common Biii) the blindingly obvious

My SSII is (as far as I am concerned) Afzelia, the same as all late 80's SSIIs... regardless of Ai) Aii) Aiii) above

As long as the owner's happy with it,that's all that matters.

I guess its a 2008.
Its no CS I guess I just got lucky with the wood piece on my SSII

what a happy family you have mr bassbooty...

Q: how do the SSIIs differ from the p/j streamer? I know afzelia and maple are way different kettles of fish, but from a player's point of view... am curious!

cheers
