=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Speaking of Fast Fret, I've noticed when I use it on my '99 Streamer 5, it makes the neck super sleek and even gives it a wet appearance. It feels great but is the product bad for ovangkol or wenge necks? Just want to make sure I'm not destroying my bass with the stuff.
I've been using FastFret on my Corvette (swamp ash and ovangkol neck/wenge fb), and i've never had any issues. It's as good as i bought it 13 years ago!

Hi thanks for your reply, that’s interesting to hear! The actual bass is gorgeous and I’m not sure if I’d be pushed to sell it just yet as it plays beautifully I think it’s just not the sound I had in my head. Is that the reason they went on to make the lx with a different neck??
I think a stage 2 5 string maybe in order if I can find one for sale in the uk.
Don’t hesitate to try an LX. The Stage 2 is a try worth too ofc!

@Jluxe Is yours the earlier model with cherry body and maple neck? My 1997 LX4 has flame maple body and wenge neck and it sounds amazing. I've not played an LX5 with maple body and wenge neck to get a fair comparison though. Hardy might be right about the neck/woods.

DiMarzio Model J, christmas present for myself!

just check via Warwick‘s homepage..serial number: follow the instructions: send an e-mail with fotos from front, back, electronics etc and HP Wilfer himself will answer you.👍

if it is a 95 the serial number is on the back of the head between the tuners…older models have the serial number on topside of head…

Beautiful birdseye maple bass...

I belive sunburst basses (non rockbass) were exclusively made in the 90s.
If you do have more pictures, that would make it easier to date it.
Otherwise i would suggest sending those pictures to Warwick, they can help you date it :)

I have trouble with the treble pot on my '89 SS1 ... BEC2 2-band
When I dial in treble, it's getting louder; taking treble off, it's getting quiet.

Anyone had the problem? Is it the pot or the preamp ?

Too lazy to find out by soldering one or the other.

Your input is appreciated 👍

I've got 2 1990s Streamer LXs that both have the MEC 2 band EQ. I've generally found that on this particular 2 band EQ the 'treble' control feels more like a high mids + all frequencies above filter. Because it sounds like it is boost everything above 1.5/2kHz I think it does actually feel like it is increasing the overall volume. For this reason if I need a bit of a treble cut I tend to use either plugins or sort it at my amp. However this is just my experience. The 3 band EQ is a different beast altogether.
