=The Warwick Streamer Club=

if it is basically this model

It is very likely satin finish (burl tops are usually satin finished) --> no waxing required.

Yep, seen a ton of videos on it. Even with the bartolinis it seems to be more HiFi than a regular ss2. Probably is related to the swamp ash and ebony combo with bolt on construction. It'll be nice to have a bass that feels the same but sounds different.

check the serial

Excuse me, guys.
I'm not sure which thread to post, but I experienced troublesome case.
I'm grateful if I could have your opinions.

Last week I recorded some music at a recording studio with my lovely 5-string SS1 (crafted in Germany, 2012).
A recording engineer said that the bass outputs unignorable white noise.
We found that EQ seems to generate white noise.
So I cut off EQ on the bass and asked him to equalize at engineer's side.

Frankly, I'm disappointed that my bass generates such noise.
Does anyone also experienced white noise?
What do you think to solve this sad phenomenon?

Thanks and regards,
Yuji

2012 should be still under Warranty if you are the original owner

Shipping from Tokyo to Japan and being without a bass for weeks. That should be fun! :D

It will be cheaper and less hassle to pay a local tech to inspect the electronics and possibly replace components. The same thing happened to me with my SSII. The preamp was faulty.

Does this seem similar?

IMO, if you're in the studio, the engineer has access to a more powerful EQ than the 9V powered one on your bass. Although last time I recorded when my engineer suggested that, I told him to go to hell haha.

What are the chances some of the shielding paint got scraped off? It sounds like a shielding issue. I've been able to crank the treble on all my MEC 3-bands without anything too obstructive.

don't understand this...if i have a garanty, it's not important who is the owner..if a failure happen during garanty period it don't bother who owns the Wick..why Warwick made, or can made different ?
if i buy a car, even a used one, if it has a rest garantee time, i am the new owner, i have rights of the rest garantee too....hmmm

is it legal with european rights to bind a garantee with one owner ?

I think you're wrong, but there are plenty of companies that do what you're describing, at least requiring original receipt for warranty work. I never understood how that is possible. whoever owns it now makes no difference. ... SOMEBODY bought it originally so the company isn't losing money by offering warranty work on used items or whatever.

also warwick has a history of looking after its instruments and reputation, not only its original customers.

not transferable... does that mean between instruments or people? not clear to me..... seems it's not being transferred, but is instead attached to an instrument, not the person who paid for it initially.

update: sorry ok I see the original owner text now. that's pretty disappointing. so someone else becomes primary holder of instrument without any legal document stating the ownership has changed (since no such standard exists) but the company no longer will repair their own issues with the instrument?

very surprising
