=The Warwick Streamer Club=

My opinion on which bass is the best I have keeps changing. Thing is all have their pros and cons.

i changed a lot including 17 warwicks... but i know now that i coudn't live without the ssII and ssI 5er:)

About the black thing that is heading my way:

US Cherry body, 6 pcs maple neck with ekanga stripes, wenge fretboard, scale 34", 24 brass frets, active MEC soapbar pickups, active MEC 2-way electronic, controls: 1 x volume with push/p ull function for EQ bypass 1 x balance 1 x bass 1 x treble finish: black high polish, weight 5.1kg.

In short: Yum.

This seems an awful lot like the old pre LX "Streamer bolt on" model.

today I received the burgundy red one.
Not sure atm wherher I should keep it:)

Well yeah but you're mister streamer, meaning it has to compete with the best in your house?
It probably won't be disappointing for a 745 euro bass anyway.

Beautiful bass, DiMarco! How's it stack up compared to the German models? I've recently been tempted to venture into 6-string territory, and that bass has certainly caught my eye. Would love some sound clips.

BAMM!

Now let's check out what she sounds like...

It sounds really good! (my jaw dropped after I plugged it in and started playing). Is this really a 745 euro bass?

The neck feels really comfortable to play as well, it is nice and flat. I am used to playing broad necks though so YMMV.

I still need to replace the awful Warwick Red Label strings it ships with, this one has two bad strings. The Steve Bailey signature also had a bad string on it when I bought it. Unbelievable that Warwick even sells that junk. So if you decide to order one of these basses also order a set of good strings with it.

A proper setup is yet required although the intonation and neck relief were perfect out of the box the moderate action for me is not... I don't think the action can be set as low as on my Dolphin or other German models I have owned. Fretwork is clearly of a lesser quality then on the German models. Not saying it is bad, just not as good as on German basses. ;)

Might the fretwork not alow the really low action I am used to I will have the frets leveled/sanded because the bass sounds good enough to keep.

Might throw in a video after setting up this baby. So far I like it a lot!

It's a shame I don't live closeby, would love to try this beast...
And the dolphin too!

My Streamer club! ;)
(yes, I need a better cam...)

OK a quick vid. Action is at around 2mm, neck bow perfect yet the highest 3 strings have some fret noise when played moderately hard. I do not care about this much. Don't mind the sloppy playing this is just to demo the sounds of this 745 euro bass guitar, which imho sounds great. Somehow uploading the file to youtube introduced some digital arctefacts in the treble but you will get the idea.

Also just a first impression. Don´t know if I remembered the notes right. New strings are ordered, I also think about a good cam. Gopro4?
