=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Hey don't feel bad. I put off getting a Streamer because "Everybody has one, it's the common Warwick, blah, blah" but I have to say my LX has quickly become my favorite bass and it hangs right next to a Thumb NT 5. In fact the next Warwick I buy will most likely be a 5 or 6 string Streamer variant. Maybe even another LX.

Thanks for the moral support!
Fwiw, I went to Andy's clinic here in Vienna this afternoon. Andy was delayed, so I checked out some basses, eg, a Vette 6 FL broadneck which looked totally unplayable but wasn't at all, on the contrary! Got me drooling! And then there was this Streamer LTD 2011 ! And more drooling.
Then Andy walks in, picks this very LTD, and starts playing and talking to - me! I was the only one there for the clinic! (Shame on Viennese bass players! - well, one other guy showed up half an hour later.)
Great clinic, but: I got not only great tips for my playing, but also a seductive introduction to the sounds of this particular Streamer. More drooling. And then I had a talk to the store manager about seductive pricing.
Need to go back to the store to pick up Andy's new CD next week, and who knows what else I'll walk out with............ :x

What a (black) Friday!

ooops, correction: The Corvette FL 6 was not a broadneck - just looked huge to me. Twas the normal pro series ash.

My little warwick family!

Stealth fretless and great wood combination neck. Looks reliable, expensive and reliable. Or just: Wow

Hi everyone, I own a Stage 2 as of recently and I'm wondering about the internal frequency selection for the mec 3 band preamp. Is it true that there some options or are the frequencies fixed. I'm finding that 8.5k for the treble is not providing enough roll off. Any suggestions ? Would half rounds or flats be better than rounds so I can get old school thump when needed ?

if i remind correctly it should be 800 hz for the mids and 100 hz for the lows...
for that thump, p bass like vibe, try this, it not so far from true IMO :
on the front pickup only, crank the bass almost full up, same for the mids (or go to taste), treble almost full down, and match the volume of the pre engage with the bypass full on. I find this near a p-bass vibe thumpy sound...

and flat should helps... I use roundwound as I can't stand flats but a try may worth it if you get what you want...

My 1st Streamer is finally here:

20131221220-960.jpg

Looks and feels like new, came complete with all documentation and warranty card and bag.
And plays beautifully.

Now, the hang tag and the warranty card say: "Natural Oil". But she feels like satin finish. Is it safe to wax her?

Is there an effect used on the pic or is this actually the original finish?

Contrast raised a bit, and colors did not transfer too well. Other than that, this is the grain of the bass. Almost 3D.
Will make some detail pics tomorrow in better light.

That´s a sick maple grain. Congrats.

BTW, that LX will be you main axe, mark my words. 8:
