=The Warwick Streamer Club=

^^ cheers buddy, it's a beaut! Needs a bit of a fret dress as there is too much rattle with roundwounds, but with the flats (quarterwounds) it has on at the moment it has a lovely tone :)

Party on!! :)

GK head (RB800?) plus Hartke cabs, that´s an early 90´s rig. ;)

Good eye Nacho. GK/Hartke rig is my old faith full that has never let me down. I have 2 rigs, My other is a SWR: 6-10 w/ horn, Alembic fx1 pre, & crown 1200 watt power amp (a real beast sound wise & to move around) Warwicks sound great through both.

This is on its way to me. 1994 Streamer Bolt-On 5 string fretless. I'm trading straight up for my 98 FNA.

Great , something that I wanted for quite some time now ! Crown s pretty good also ! I want a Macro Tech one day , not ready yet , too bad that they don t make them anymore .

Hi Streamer-Folks,

I have the opportunity to join your club with a 09 LX, flamed AAA maple, ovangkol neck, MEC J/P. Seller claims it is like new; he has been very responsive, sent serial # and all. Any suggestion what a fair price range would be?
(This would bring my Warwick family to a half dozen!)

Oh: A Happy Thanksgiving to all members in the US!

Hi, Gurnemanz,

I bought my LX used, from ´09, for around 850€. Hope that helps. 8:

I'm selling my burgandy red 5 string Streamer LX for £700 (1999, ovangkol neck) if you're interested.

Sure does, thank you! The seller wants 750, which looks to be right.
How do you like yours, in comparison to your Infinity?

Thanks for the offer, Chris, but I am restricting myself to 4-stringers - or double-4s, as in my Vette ;) .

Hi,

750€ is a low price, IMHO, for such a wonderful bass, so, like Flo said: go for it!

Compared to my Infy SN5 is a VERY different animal. I mean, it sounds so bright, with so much attack, that even with DEAD strings (7 month dead strings), sometimes you have to roll back the Highs pot to achieve a more "thumpy" sound out of it. True Story.

It doesn´t have that HUGE low end that the Infy has, nor the endless sustain (bolt-on vs. set-neck -or semi-neckthru-); and the growl is different, like in the high-mids frecuencies, but I assure you that it cuts in every mix or band situation.

I like it a lot.

Thanks to all for your wise words. Gurnemanz has considered your suggestions favorably and ordered the bass. (Did you expect any different?) Anxiously waiting for the deal to go through, and then for the bass to arrive.

Nacho, thank you for the comparison. I will put my favorite TI JF344 on, and although they are known to be rather bright for flats, they might tame the LX just enough for me.
Then again, I read earlier in the Streamer club that putting passive Barts and VBTT controls in is a worthy option to consider...

To think that it was a Streamer that first sparked my interest in Warwick (the one Steve Kinch of Manfred Mann's Earth Band used to play), it sure took me a awful long time to end up with a Streamer.
