Show Us Your Non- Warwick Bass Then!

........

My G&L L-2000 tribby, very nice bass, but too
similar to my musicman but not as agressive,
no point in keeping it]

........

Wow, Tribbies must kinda miss the target vs
the Fullerton GnLs. I have long considered my
L2k-e FL to be just another member of my MM
tribe ... the only dual humbugger "StingRay"
in the herd.

Not only does that old 'hog body e-series have
what it takes to be an "honorary StingRay" but
my later L2.5K with alder body and lacking the
"OMFG" mode of the e-series certainly holds its
own as the only "StingRay" FL-5 in the herd. I
mean, these things are like very wild animals.

Got no pix of my L2K-e, but here's a long gone
ASAT, gone to neck-diver heaven, and my new
[to me] Sooper Sparkle Monster, the L2.5K FL:

Man, I miss those Toby Pros. Excellant basses, and iirc only around $700USD. Real diamonds in the rough.

Good to know that Tribby's dont stand up to a 'Ray, That's one I've been considering. In the world of Sting Rays, 44-94/01's, L2k's, and others, I'm like a kid in a candy store, lol.

Although, you do have some purty basses man. :D

It was very close, but in the end i preferred the sound of my musicman that little bit more, and being so similar, there wasn't really a whole point having two, really. That's a pretty L2000 there :) nice paint job

The toby was good for the price, but it just wasn't aggressive enough for me, and the preamp was kind of rubbish, really fast neck though!

And thanks :) out of those 3 basses, the only one i miss a little bit would be the fender, it was fairly different to the rest. I'm happy with my $$ though, only bass i use now :)

Yeah, back in the day of musicyo, people were snatching those things up and putting Barts in them like their older brothers.

aye, i put barts in mine (you can see them in that pic), but it just wasn't for me. I think maybe if it had a new pre, but i couldn't be bothered. Besides, i made a nice enough profit on it when i sold it.

my small arsenal

Here they are:
Tacoma Thunderchief ABG (2001)
Thumb NT (2001)
Eko MB21n fretless (1979, so I was told)

Nice collection Sascha.
The Spector 6 looks amazing.
Is the headless a Cort?

i also like that special jazz bass...
i see wenge for the neck, and some dark wood for the body ?
is it walnut ? or afzelia ?

Just a bit of timber trivia for ya's.
African rosewood is also known as Bubinga, kevazingo, kewazingo.
& our good friend wenge, well, Its toxicity is well known in many parts of the world because the bark of several species is ground into a powder to numb fish for harvest.
Maybe that's why Fender wont touch it with a barge pole as Workers can be adversely affected by the irritating dust of wenge.Dust collection systems are essential when working with wenge and remove wood slivers ASAP because they tend to fester.
Crikey!!
Zebrano is a also a nasty bugger. When cut,it stinks not unlike sewerage.
Spewin'!!
