Just to make sure I registered my Streamer in all the right threads ;)
It doesn't have a serial but I bought it new in 1986 and I guess it should be from 84 or 85.

Here's how it sounds like:

PURPLE!!! My favorite color! Love it!!

Going to be a member of this club on Tuesday, buying this little beauty:

1999 Streamer LX 5, not sure if the neck is Ovangkol or Wenge. Will upgrade the nut to a brass JANIII when it arrives.

Chris I love the red - that is a really nice looking LX 5. I've also got a '99 LX 5 in sunburst & wedge neck and its a real player bass. It's my road backup to my Thumb 5.

It's a lot darker seeing it in person, but yeah the red+gold is pretty sexy

Here are two pictures of my Streamer LX 5 with wenge neck and JJ pickups.

Hello Guys,
I own a SSII 5 strings manufactured in 1993. I looking at replacing the trussrod because I feel the trussrod moving/vibrating in the neck when I bow it slightly. Can anyone give me the right part number of the trussrod and some directions to do it by myself? I'm good at do-it-yourself and I've already done it on a regular 4 strings Ibanez Ergodyne.
Thanks
Dave

Hi David, and welcome to the forum :)
Replacing the trussrod is easy for your bass, but are you sure you need it? I mean if it works and the neck is straight...

Hi Florin,
Even if I adjust the truss rod following the recommandations of Warwick, I still have the low G and low E strings buzzing. I heard that the trussrod of the SII 5 strings can have reliability issues and needs to be replaced. I was thinling to first replace the trussrod before leaving it to a specialist
Thanks for your reply.
Dave

Hi,

Just another option before you replace the trussrod, but which nut do you have? I have the older brass nut on my SSII with screws for the string holders/adjusters (I dont know the proper name) and sometimes they vibrate.
