=The Warwick Streamer Club=

I actually thought you were acknowledging my bass on your earlier comment.

hahaha, you could tell just by looking at the grain on the back of the bass

Can I join the club?

I've wanted a Streamer since I began playing bass 13 years ago.
One day earlier this year I was at work browsing the classifieds, and behold: the only pawnshop in Oslo was selling a 1990 Streamer Stage I 5-string very cheap.
I literally threw what I held in my hands and ran all the way to the pawnshop. A few seconds later I walked out of there as the happy owner of a Streamer.

I dug it so much that when a 1992 Streamer Stage I fretless surfaced in the classifieds, I sold my two Spectors and bought it.

Veeeeery sweet basses both of them!

(Also a word from Mr. Burns)

Hey Om, and welcome to the forum :-) Thanks for the nice comments as well. I personally like spectors too, but it is nice to hear that you sold two of them to buy a Warwick.
I'm in !

4 string SSII, I can't stop playing :)
Too bad I have to sleep, eat and work :)

SSII rocks! I need to buy me a standard one again...

Hey Florin,

I totally agree with you, Spectors are great basses, and I have truly loved the two I had, I just think Warwicks are even better! :)

If I couldn't afford Warwicks I'd play Spectors. Wait, no I wouldn't! LOL. I like the Spector shapes and the feel of the necks, and even liked the feel of a ReBop believe it or not. However, they lack in the electronics dept, certainly have much less attention to detail than Warwicks in their construction/assembly (especially the cheap ones!), and some of the neckthrough models feel "dead" to me. Course, I'm extremely bias... ; )

Groovy bass... Can you take another pic that shows the backside where the neck enters the body? From an angle.
I don't know if I making sense, I 'd like to see how thick the bass is where the "heel" would be if it were a bolt-on.

Ah sorry mate I don't have a camera. I took the photos yesterday with camera that I've borrowed and I don't have it anymore.

It has not been defretted, and was ordered as lined fretless.

I've recently given it to a guitar tech who's gonna give it a good setup and sand it down to make it look like new.
Can't wait to get it back!

I sure will!

He did the same job on my fretted Streamer, and I think it turned out very well!
Even Mr. Wilfer commented on how good the flaming looked! :d

Happy to share with you a recent happy event: a good friend and great gentleman, also member on this forum, helped me to achieve a great instrument: Streamer LX BN 5!
