Once again, congrats brother Hoggles! She’s a Blonde Bombshell Beauty! :D I sold my longest partner of 23 years (which I thought was gonna stay with me throughout my life), my ‘94 SSII5 after I got my 2015 SSII5 earlier this year. I never thought that would happen. IMO, the Custom Shop MB basses are that good!

Thanks so much, Rehan! Yeah, I'm REALLY loving this bass. So glad I did the swap. Some may question getting rid of a vintage Streamer for a modern one, but I agree with you...these new ones are indeed, that good. No doubt worth it in this case. Now I'm contemplating swaping out my '04 Thumb for a "new" one. Though I'd have to find a smokin' deal on a recent Thumb, to make it worth while. Incredibly, I only had to shell out a few hundred extra to make this swap. That made it an easy decision :)

I don't recall seeing many pommele grains on early SSII's. Very nice!

Thank you very much! Yes, I also did not see a similar grain on the early models.

Oh cool. I hadn't noticed that before. Looks like '87 SSII's were more straight grain, non-dapple and like you said...I see some '88's with the dapple grain. As always, thanks for the Streamer info :)

    :D
Well mates, she has arrived and she is as magnificent as I imagined! A Custom Shop Streamer LX 5 in Bleached Rose Stain High Polish that was built in December 2014 to be displayed in the Warwick booth at the 2015 NAMM Convention. It’s hard for me to believe that I have 4 and 5 Streamer LX basses that were both displayed in the Warwick booth at separate NAMM shows. I have named the 5 Rosie and the 4 Violet. :p The Masterbuilt basses are truly amazing and I consider myself very fortunate to be the proud owner of these basses.:)

That’s why I own a Reverso, a Streamer 8 string and now a Corvette. Be warned, Rehan: the right deals keep on coming! :D

I forgot where I was looking the last few days, but I saw this pic from the '15 NAMM show. I think this is probably your Rosie... :)

    downloadfile.jpg

And of course another cool thing about these NAMM Wicks, is they are among the first of each model to have the next year's upgrades/changes. Rosie is somewhat unique with a 2014 serial and the wooden tuners and truss cover introduced for 2015 :D

Oh nice, thank you for finding and sharing that Hoggles! :) It surely must be Rosie in that pic! :D I actually thought the previous owner may have upgraded to the wooden tuners because I thought 2014 models didn’t have them. Although according to the serial number Rosie was made in December. Nice to see that the wooden tuners are actually original from the factory. :)

Guys, I just remembered I have a couple pics of my other newcomer, Violet the 2016 Streamer LX 4, that were snapped at the 2017 NAMM show. By the way, I have no idea who the guy that’s holding her in the pictures is...Lol.

I just picked up my first Warwick this weekend. 2009 Warwick $$ natural finish. I’ve never played a bass this comfortable and sound is amazing.
