HI,

Here is my '99 LX.
maple body and wenge neck.

got a question:
the former owner tried a thumb-rest on it and there are stil 2 little holes in the body that I want filled.
What is the best way to do this?

Guess i should join now I have a 2000 Stage 1. had it now for three weeks and absolutely love it. So different than my Thumb bass which I also love. I am going to sand it back to bare wood this weekend and re finish. Im also thinking about ordered a Stage 1 6 string but will see how my re finish job goes.

You could try the old mix some maple sawdust (maybe a tiny amount from under the pick ups) and superglue, to match the color. Or, you could probably find a store bought wood filler that matches that maple color pretty damn close I'm sure.

Beauty LX!

the lighter the color wood the harder to match it.

I would leave it as is

Anyone here got a 6 string stage 1 ? I'm thinking about ordering one and just wondering how they balance vs the 5 string or a 6 string thumb?

I have a 10 string. BIIIIIIG paddle head. The real paddle! Balance is no problem at all.

I would screw in two small brass screws and then tell anyone who asked what they were for:
"It's what gives it the awesome tone and it's TOP SECRET!!!"
