=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Thanks for the warm welcome all! What can I say. I'm hooked. I was seduced by the 'wick. Completely revitalized my musical outlook after 20 years of playing bass. The next 20 should be a blast!

Oh hellz yes!! Glad you're hooked G. It's easy to do with these works of art :)

Careful though.... One usually leads to two and three and.....

I can't recall if I ever introduced you my first Stage II, so here you have my two babies. I watch them while they sleep ☺️

By all means, introduce them again! And again! :)

What a pair of beauties

Curious aguacollas....what is the difference in tone like between the two, with the different body woods? Neck wood the same? And one has a brass JAN. Nice.

A Streamer has definitely taken over the top spot for my next Wick. I will have one by years end. I must. Failure is not an option.

Hoggles, what I like is they are the same SSII, same Afzelia, ovangkol and wenge woods.
But they look so different one from another. Specially the Afzelia body. Definitely not from the same tree ;).

Sonically, they sound the same, at least to my ears. Except for the brass JAN. It really changes the sound of open strings. More than I thought. And it sounds better, more homogeneous with the fretted notes.

As I said, this Streamer shape is perfect to me, playing it feels like a glove. Maybe a slimmer neck would be even better to me. But that's another story...

Nice! I would not have guessed the top one is also Afzelia. Very cool!

I agree 100% on the brass JAN. I have one on my '04. Big difference. Love it.

I just played the shit out of my SSII 5 and 2011 LE 5, and decided I'm keeping both until I die :)

Surprise, you´re dead! ;-)

Sold my SS1 buckeye burl, didn´t think I would sell this bass ever. But then I needed the funds for the CS. Things change.

Great story and great find!!

I need to go browsing some pawn shops and the like, for hidden deals :)

Like a shop selling an old "W" bass for like $100. When dat "W" bass turns out to be a 5th Anny Streamer. Hahaha

Please, please lord, let it happen.

I always hear such great pawn shop stories. Garage sales too - my high school got a lot of high end instruments from garage sales.

I only find the opposite of great deals, like when the store knows what a Warwick is, but don't know the difference between models. There was a store with a used Korean Pro Series Streamer LX 6 tagged at $3,000. I tried to talk to talk them down (even showing them the price list showing they were asking WAY more than the brand new price), but they wouldn't have it.

hello!
can I join zee club with a nice Streamer LX 6 formerly owned by fellow forumite ChrisK? :D
it will be soon defretted, but I admit it is one AAAWESOME sounding bass and I'll probably have to buy another stock LX 6 at one point :))

You truly are a one man band Laszlo. Great stuff!

This might be an odd question, but does anybody know how many SSII's were produced in 2011? A friend commented the other evening on how rare Warwicks are in general (though honestly I think that's more a function of us not having a decent WW dealer within about 500 KM of where we live), and it got me wondering about how many basses like mine might be wandering around (perhaps in need of a good home *wink*)?

I've searched the forums but haven't been able to find any useful info. If this isn't information that Warwick divulges then so-be-it, but if this kind of thing is made public perhaps somebody can point me in the right direction? No real purpose other than for interest's sake.

Take care!
