Questions for the experts :
this Streamer Stage1 NT/BN has a damaged Trussrod.
If I'm not mistaken, non volute neck means possibility of exchange for the trussrod, right ?
It's a '97 model according to the serial.




I also find the 1000€ price a bit too much. What would be your estimation, since the bass looks filthy and uncared for.
Or Am I just a cheap pain in the ass ?
 
no volute means removable however volutes came in 96 iirc
so maybe this was 96er completed in 97 or so.

1000 for a fiver is quite cheap provided that the rod is replaceable

No. I had an unpleasant conversation with the potential buyer. It started all o.k., but I guess the guy had some drinks during the evening. His orthography became worse and worse, he started to get unpolite. We already had a time when he wanted to come around, former conversations were all fine. But that evening he demanded that I bring the Ampeg stack to HIM! After this he wrote that he already has cabinets and thus only needs the head. His last message was something like "You get the bass, I get the Ampeg head! That is what will happen!". OFC THIS DID NOT HAPPEN! :lol:
 
Hmmmm Cocobolo, bet that's a weighty beasty.
Shame about the ampeg deal, but better you found out his issues before a face to face meet up and he back pedalled then. That really boils my blood.
 
Long time lurker checking in. Made my first post recently and figured I may as well keep the good times going!

2011 SSII. When I picked it up a while back it had been in a small mom & pop store in the middle of nowhere languishing in the back, price slashed many many times over (I think they just wanted to get rid of it). This place has no online inventory so my guess is that nobody knew it was there. Lucky for me. Too bad for everybody else! Noticed it, picked it up and immediately fell in love with the feel before even plugging it in. It was such a nice surprised that it sounded as good as it felt!

I need to go browsing some pawn shops and the like, for hidden deals :)

Like a shop selling an old "W" bass for like $100. When dat "W" bass turns out to be a 5th Anny Streamer. Hahaha

Please, please lord, let it happen.
