So where are the "New" 2009 Rockbasses up on the Warwick Website?

In the picture I see that the headstocks don't have the "rockbass" logo anymore but the warwick "W".
Also the bridge is changed, it has de original warwick bridge.
Am I right on that?

Dead right.
From 2009,all Rockbasses will feature the same composite fibre headstock with only the W inlay & no Rockbass label, the same 2 piece bridge as German Warwicks & the latest Just a nut 3.

okay, that picture just persuaded me not to buy my planned fretless RB Fortress next week.. but since I want the new one that will have to wait until..2010..no, wait, I live in Serbia so it will be 2012 :(

It seems we're going to wait a bit more for the 6-stringers :)

Is gonna take a while for them to appear around here too, I just hope they bring the whole rockbass line, for now we don't get all the options. But next year i'll definitely go for a Fortress-5.

I ordered a RB fortress 5-stringer 2 months ago, now I understand why I have to wait for it so much.

If you're in the USA,the change of distributors might be the cause of that delay.Did you pay in full?or just a deposit?

I live in Europe, and did not paid anything for the order, even a deposit. I will pay when I get the bass. Anyway, the new RB Fortress will have ash body, too?

as I have heard, it will.. the only diff is the bridge and the headstock..

to be honest... i think it sucks that the rockbasses look like "real" warwicks now.

Haha, I think you are the only one Jacob :-) Most of the people I know were irritated by the old ROCKBASS logo on the headstock... And the Warwick bridge si simply better, and it will make the bass sound better, so why it sucks?

hehe, maybe i'm the only one. but doenst it make the real warwick less "special"? i dont know... i think its confusing :)

I don't think so. They are the same family, but when you pick a real Warwick, you feel who's the daddy.

this cracks me up, does the vampyre rb got the F# string really want to grab one since the real ones are a bit out of my reach currently

I agree with Koby, but on the other hand, the big (and pretty ugly IMHO) RockBass logo was pretty much of a downer..

I hope They're in stores by December. I guess I'll go to the States by that time;)

Well, great! Now my local dealer will have one more thing to screw up! :(

I can't answer the ongoing question of why there's still no details on Warwick site, but here's the first one I've seen for sale. If it was a 4-banger, I might have bought it. I suspect it would fit my 'somewhere between a Wal and a MusicMan' tone-quest... 8:

Retail of $1200? For a 'vette? That's more than the $$ Wick they have at GC right now. Multi laminate neck, that sure aint a honey oil finish. Wonder if that is actually an RB.
