strings

hi, i really would like to put DR Black Beauties on my 5-string Thumb but i dont think that the B-string would fit.. but is it still possible to put those strings on?

Any suggestion for a five strings fretless Thumb? I've tried the superb Dogal flatwounds with gauges 45-60-80-105-130, but that low B won't fit properly, it always seems too long for the bass. :-(

I'm thinking about getting the Corvette 4 fretless. I would like to know what string would sound better, the roundwound or the flatwound. Would the roundwound damage the neck?
