I want to tune my bass into drop C, but I don't know the gauge that i have to use. 50 - 70 - 90 - 110 or 60 - 80 - 100 - 120 I don't want to broke my neck-thru... Help me please!

What strings do you all like to use on your bass. I don't have a warwick...YET :P But i need new strings on my fender precision bass, and I want to know what are the best strings out there for a good slap tone and not real high and twangy and still for a good price. I don't want to pay 30...

I love Warwick strings, but I want to mix and match gauges from different sets (without having to buy them all!) It would be great if I could find a place to sell me Warwick singles (in the US). Basscentre won't respond to me. Any other ideas?
