New Bass Day! I just got this 2000 Thumb NT5 today. I'm digging it, but still getting used to playing a 5-string. Plus, it sounds different than the 2001 BO4 that I used to own. The NT5 has a warm tone with some bite, but not nearly as much growl as my old BO4. I could use some recommendations on strings for this bass.

Cheers,
Tom

Here are some pics of my 1997 Thumb Bolt-On Lined Fretless. It is a Dream to Play, and with those Magic Lines, even I can make Fretless look easy!

She looks rather Blacked Out with the Black Coated Strings and Black Hardware and Ebony Boards!

Love those Lines!

Original JAN!

Serial Number makes out to be a 1997. Some say Das Beste Jahr!

German Chocolate Cake!

And I'm off to play this Wonderful Bass!

My new (to me) 2006 LTD Dirty Blonde

Thanks to uOpt for the ease in making the deal.

Beautiful wood on his one.
If someone has a Dirty Blonde for sale, I am looking for one :P

I saw one for sale on talkbass.com -

He is asking for trades but I imagine he would go for a cash offer.

Added this to my thumb collection over the weekend, I also have the 95 NT4 which came to Aus from Shlo & was kindly passed on to me by DenBonez.

This one has been sitting in it's case un-loved & un-played for the past few years, not any more!
