=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Hey guys - just played my broadneck out for the first time Saturday. Sounded incredible. Also recorded it on one our original songs, will post the soundclip with and without guitar when I have a chance. I dont think I'll ever play another bass - and I've owned nearly 40! I am stoked!

Maaan, that looks awesome! Is it a standard fretless SSII? The wood looks so different, and dark :)

Hey thanks, I really like the dark wood too. I am told it's just another standard issue fretless SSII.

Apparently (am told also), the factory sometimes used darker Afzelia back then; plus the fretless was made in 91, so the aging darken the wood some as well.

I think this is a normal process. I used to own a 95 SSII, and it was already dark in 2007... Ok, after a tru oil refinish...

soon soon soon (at least I hope it's soon...) I'll be a member of this club!

Happy for ya Gerry. Let's see how it will compare to your nice vettes.

Just forget about the Corvette in the corner. RockBass Streamer was my first bass, Streamer Stage II 5 is my best bass

Thanks. I have Optima gold Flatwounds on it. Not a huge fan. Slows me down a bit. I'm thinking of switching to roundwounds

OMG....my SS2 just arrived. holy crap man!!!...this baby looks and plays like a dream...pics to come. best bass I've ever played!

Dont say I didnt warn ya Gerry.
May I suggest you set everything flat to beging with, then try it with the preamp bypassed, particularly when ya slap. Also, try it with & without the sans amp. This is THE bass that can render once compulsorily(that a word?)used effects useless.
Congrats mate.I'm still impressed when I play mine.

I'll give you my supa special BOTM settings:
- Bass flat
- Mids full opened
- Treble - just a little bit cut. Like.. almost nothing
- Pan - somewhere between the middle, and the neck pickup. More on the middle part, or the half of the way.
- Very important - the picking position with those settings - between the neck pickup and the neck.
Have fun :-)

i'll give this a try as soon as I have enough coffee in me to safely pick up my new baby ;-)

when you say "picking"...do you mean picking with fingers or a pick?

I do not use effects with my SS2 either. it is enough for me. !!! Congrats Gerry! welcome to the Club of Streamer addicts!!!
