Happy 50. birthday, RIP! (ah, that double meaning, hehe!)
Ha!.....some days I feel like I need to R.I.P. :)

Hey, thanks for your help with the fretless questions this morning also....you guys are the best!

how do you like the sound of the new pick-up spacing
So I received this on Fri. Honestly since I don't have an older one with the different string spacing with me I can't really give an opinion on old vs new.

But I can say it sounds and plays excellent.

I'm just still in awe as to how they was able to sell it for $1,150.00. Maybe they don't sell well because of the Natural color?? But I don't care now that I have it.

In comparison here's a new 2015 they are selling on Reverb for 2k

Warwick Pro Series Streamer LX 5-String Bass, Natural Satin

Anyway here's my new member of the family (I just had to post a pic of this)

Thanks guy's.....and yes Kimgee, I cant recommend The Bass Place enough. I will be checking them out for all new purchases first from now on.

One of the best purchasing experiences I think I've ever had.

I picked up this new Streamer NT I a couple of months ago in June and I'm very impressed with the quality! I cannnot believe how great it feels and sounds - was not expecting that! With the alder body and maple neck construction, dare I say it has a Warwick meets Fender type of tone. It produces a Marcus-like tone when slapped and is a nice alternate flavor compared to my Streamer Stage II. That being said, it sounds and feels much better to me than any Fender I have played. It has become my main gigging 4-string ever since. I like it so much, I also bought a 5-string version of the Streamer NT I in July. (edit): It's worth mentioning that although the stock RB preamps sounded pretty good they were a bit on the sizzly side so I replaced them with Aguilar OBP-2 (4-string) and OBP-3 (5-string) preamps which improved the low end heft and smoothed out the highs a bit. In my opinion, the overall tone with the OBP preamps sounds more organic and natural. When the EQ is set flat, I feel like I hear the natural tone of the MEC pickups.

I also just acquired a '91 Streamer Stage I a few of days ago which is currently on its way to me. I will post pics once I receive that one and get it cleaned up...

Also, I just got a steal of a deal on a "players" '91 Streamer Stage I on eBay a few of days ago which is currently on its way to me. I will post pics once I receive that one and get it cleaned up...
