I know I asked before but I don't know the answer anymore: who did these works?

Long story short, I wanted the 2-pc bridge and had a friend install it. Bridge and tailpiece were aligned with each other but with nothing else. I had to plane off 3/8" from the top and decided to use ovangkol to replace the "carolena" (pine). Added a brass nut. Sounds better. Controls are passive V-T, V-T.

Great work! Looks really good! :)

Is the sound a bit punchier now?

It is! I don't know that I subscribe to the subtleties of "tonewood", but when you go from pine (softest hardwood) to ovangkol (I think we all really know how dense it is), there's going to be a difference. Plus the brass nut compensated for a lot of the highs lost in the pine construction.

A beauty! "Customer shopped"! ;)

How is the output?

Thank you! I do instrument restoration/customization as a side profession, now. About to restore an ancient tenor banjo.
I'm not sure about the output. It's been cased for years. I'll have to A/B it against my passive EXTREMELY customerized Pbass copy and my $$ 5er. I'll post a reply once that's been accomplished. [emoji1360]

Puhh, his quote: around about 800,- EUR! New fret board, LEDs in, lacquering... this would only make sense if I would let the body be refinished too, maybe inlays - but in the end it would be no player any more, more the next beauty for the wall. Seems I have to think about this again.

Hi folks, as promised here is my contribution to this great thread:

Warwick Streamer Stage I , 6 strings - 2002.

This bass is just the master, the one to rule them all!

Not the best picture quality, they were taken with my mobile...hope you'll enjoy.
