Howde,

I posted over in the 'Vintage' forum but perhaps should've here?

I'm looking for advice on buying a used '99 Streamer Fretless.
I'm going to try one on Monday and was looking for any tips on checking intonation/neck etc on a fretless?

Cheers,

see her below…
Ross

You guessed right, this is probably the best place for it (99 isnt vintage just yet)
Isn't checking intonation on a fretless the same as on a fretted bass? Playing a harmonic on the 12th is what I've always been told to do...

Yes, I had planned that but I used to check frets up past the octave too.
I suppose your right, it should be straight forward using the Octave harmonic…. just checking for anything I may have missed

Thanks for the input.

Replaced the hardware huh? :)
Enjoy, the bass went from the UK to the NL to Germany, then to Croatia and now back to Germany in less then 4 months.

I had an 89 that I'd happily take back but the guy I sold it to is holding on and won't let go... despite me asking him once a year (every year)! :)

That's not the same one I tried and failed to nab off you a couple years back, was it?

It was 5 if not as many as 7 years ago but I did have another slightly later one after this which could have been the one!
