=The Warwick Streamer Club=

Looks great, congrats. Have you decided which colour will have the new hw?

What's odd about the string spacing?

It's obviously messed up in the picture, but can't you simply adjust the individual string riders in the Warwick bridge?

Well DUH Stefan I said I was gonna do a proper setup in the morning. I lied. I already did it just now! :)
And whadayaknow? Proper stringspachdifhjsid!!!

Wonder if HPW drools every time Schlo post a pic of one of his Streamers...

A new acquisition which has just been cleaned, fret polished, restrung and set-up and is sounding monstrous... I feel the need for something to go to make room for this! LOL

Lovely! If there is anything that needs to go, pm me as I am in a Warwick buying place ;)

does it kinda sound like a stingray because of the humbucker at the bridge?

I had a ibanez atk305 JPN that really nailed the stinray sound, i thought due to the humbuck. but apparantly that was actually the electronics?

hmm, like to hear a ww like that with-modded ray preamp?

Call me crazy but I think any open-magnet humbucker in the exact Stingray spot wired in parallel will get close enough to the Stingray tone.

MM pre operates at different freqs or with different Q afaik. It has a very distinguished tone and tons of punch that you either love or not. I don't think any streamer will sound really close to it.

That said, I prefer the streamer :)

Being a former MM player, I can tell that it is pretty hard to say what exactly a MM tone is, because I don't think I owned two to sound even close to each other. My favourites ones were a blue one that literarry sounded like a Pbass, and a 93 one that sounded like a thumb bass :-) I also owned a couple that were too ♣♣♣♣ty sounding to mention, and a cheap MM copy made by Aslin Dane with plastic fingerboard that was better than 80 of the MM's I've seen.

But Marco is right, Warwicks with MM pickups have a different sound.

Yeah the closest I got a stingray sound was with my FNA, but it was only somewhat close. I preferred the FNA :-)
