Seriously though, I have been thinking of getting one for ages... I always keep my eye on eBay as they seem to go cheap there.
 
You won't regret getting a Thumb is a true mean machine
also it got that unique tone and the mean growling slap tone:D
It's the thing I love most in the Thumb NT and the sustain ,the sustaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnn!!

heres my setup and bass (ive been meaning to post it for a while but im just lazy)
a new amp one day and hopefully a 6 string fretless thumb NT and a BO 4 string thumb will join the $$

I Loves my SWR Mo' Bass rig, but for my church, we're rehearsing for our Easter cantata and moving from the sanctuary to choir room and back. I have been using a Behringer BX1200 combo for the church stuff, but it doesn't have the bottom end the music director wants, nor does it have a horn to properly amplify the slaps and pops I do here and there. So now I'm GASsing to add one of these to the arsenal:



At only 18lbs. total (cab + head - the head slides in and out of a holder dock on the top of the cab), it will a breeze to take to and from church and from sanctuary to choir room, etc.

At 175W into the 10" neo speaker + horn cab, it has more power than the combo I've been using, and it will be fuller, real power. Also has XLR D.I. out. Add an extension cab or undock the head and use with a larger, 4ohm cab and it will do 300W - way more than I could ever use at my church. Any larger gig, and my SWR is ready to roll.

I can pick this up for only $660.00, about $2.00 per watt and totally compact and EXTREMELY light on weight, but not on sound!

Only problem is the wife won't approve of spending the money!...not that it's ever stopped me before... :lol:

Yeah the specs and features are bigger than the truth! :lol:

When I traded my guitar gear for my first bass, I had researched combo amps on the web and the BX1200 looked like a winner. I got an Ibanez BTB 6-string and was about $80 short for the Behringer, so the guy at GC knocked $80 off the price so that I could have an amp for my bass! :)

It's had enough volume for the church services, but I have never been happy with the tone. And it in no way can do justice to my Thumb or other Warwicks! With our first big cantata production using live instruments less than 3-weeks away, I really want my Thumb to sing for the Lord! Only the right amp/speaker arrangement will allow that, and I think this Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0-10T combo will shine and do it weighing almost as light as my bass! 8)

dude, +1 to that! enough volume but it certianly does no warwick justice. try and borrow one of a mate. i always use the churches ampeg (oohhh jus thinking about it gives me goosebumps)
