That Dolphin probably the most outrageous piece of Ovangkol I've ever seen. Beautiful. Awesome collection, how long did it take you to build that up?
 
Thanks guys, :-) yup my collection has gotten a bit out of control (again). I should probably sell a few basses (at least). It’s tough to let them go though because they all have their own thing that makes them cool and after I sell off gear I always end up thinking --I wish I still had this bass or amp or whatever for such and such-- LoL… I am such a gear addict… I think I need help!

The Dolphin is my all time favorite for sure! So versatile! But I really love the P-NutII and Fortress MM a lot too… The Sparks NT5 is a pure rock machine too… I actually dig something about all these basses, If I was rich I would probably be like Nigel from Spinal Tap, LoL, A whole room full of basses and guitars… Stacked to the ceiling, and all my amps would go to 11 (Ohh wait, They already do :twisted: ).

I have been playing since I was a young teen and I am now in my late 30’s so I guess I have been building these up for about 25 years… Wow, I am getting old Haha! This is not the biggest bass collection I have had but I think it’s the coolest by far (for me anyway). The crazy thing is there are still a few basses I really want to add to it…It might just not end for me… Like I said, I need help :oops: !!!

I am thinking of selling off about half of these (even though I know I will regret it later) and replacing each I sell with something different. There are a few more Warwicks I want and I would like to find the right Modulus Q5 and maybe a Fodera 5 as well… Hmmmm… I’m lucky my wife is understanding of my sickness! LOL

I used to like playing the 6 and 7 string basses (I played mostly 6 for years) but I have overworked (or incorrectly worked) my hands and have given myself carpal tunnel syndrome :x . It doesn’t bother me playing 5 but if I am playing a long set the extra reach on the 6 and especially the 7 is rough… All you young guys be sure to warm up well before stressing your hands!!! If you don’t you might regret it!!! I hope it doesn’t get worse, I can’t imagine not being able to play!!! Its such a part of me, ya know what I mean?!?
 
Although I haven't played nearly as long as most of you guys, I know what you say.
Playing the bass has become such a part of me :D

hey guys here is my set up...

Warwick Corvette Standard Bubinga 5, Warwick Corvette Standard Ash 5. Squier Jazz 4, not pictured. I've just put a brand new set of black hardware on the bubinga one, and moved the silver hardware back to the ash bass. Gave them both a quick sand, wax and polish, and did the frets too, so looking nice and pretty atm!!

Eden Nemesis NA650, Eden Nemesis NSP410 and NSP115

and a few pedals!!

I tried that Nemesis NA-650 head today and I loved it. I just hope I'd LOVE the Xtreme 5.1 when the store gets it! =D

i've never found out officially, but I'm pretty sure its Bubinga Pomelle. The back of the bass is even more swirly! I'm guessing its not a CS, but maybe a slap of pomelle was on hand for it....I got it SH so not sure of its first few years...
