The sad part is the Trace stuff isn't even being used. It's in storage in Australia.

If you plan on working in New York get it shipped over there, A Trace Valve head is something to be used !!!

And the Trace Rig will sound better that that Harkte stuff you're using these days... :P

Matey - I agree wholeheartedly on both points!

To ship that thing here is going to cost me hundreds... plus it's just so damned heavy to cart around. Easy when you have a car... but in NYC? Uh uh :)

As for Hartke, don't get me started. Most venues here have backline rigs... but yup, they're ALL Hartke. Is it because it's cheap?

I'm actually going to buy an Aguilar rig for larger gigs and touring... stuff is so cheap here compared to back home. I'm looking at an Aguilar DB750 + a couple of 2x12" cabinets.

(Just as heavy as Trace unfortunately... so I've just contradicted point 1... but it will be shiny and new... so forgive me.. please?) :)
 
i was wondering when you'd give in and buy the aguilia amp lex...aguilia in new york and ttrace in oz...ace!

Heheh.... it's been a really tough decision because I do have to be conscious of transportation etc.

I was looking at some of the Epifani ultralight gear, but I think Aguilar was be far better in the long run.
 
screw the light stuff (although i have to admit the ultralight epifani stuff is great. i was using another bands backline a few weeks ago and the bass player had UL502. excellent)...there is always a way to get stuff transported and its always a blasst in the end when your actually doing the show

Yeah - you're right.

The taxis here have very deep trunks (or 'boots' as we call them in Australia)... they can pretty much fit anything.

Good camera's dead at the moment... Cell is all I've got to work with :oops: .. And dont think it's wimpy just coz it's only got two 10's - it'll rattle your teeth out through your toenails at half volume :twisted: ~M~
