Incoming!!! (show Us Your New Stuff Before You Actually Have It)

WOW!
So beautiful :)
Thanks to you Hardy for having been able to take a look at this bass and for your involvement in this transaction.
I can't wait to get my hands on this buttery neck!
Congrats Luca! For not only having a fine bass but a fine friend! :)

Well- I finally succumbed to the temptation and purchased the same model Ibanez, the GSR200 in Pearl White, I recently bought for a friend to use, along with a Cahaya gig bag and a Fender Rumble 15- this to keep at my parents' place in case I fly instead of drive-

Maybe they could have named it with some allusion to the Marshall sound-- would love to market one with the warm squishy Marshall sound called "MarshMellow". So it would be white and slightly soft to make it more tempting to stomp!

I sent it back. Nothing wrong with it and it sounded good but didn't somehow didn't fit with what I wanted tone-wise.

So the young lad got a pass (thought he didn't make a pass) from an older woman (seen on the right).

And the Warwick lady said, "Nice young lad, thought he's a bit shy."

Interpretation- the little Rumble 15 did quite well for what it was built to do-

Another thing she liked about him was the ease of adjustment of his attitude if it came to be necessary- by twisting a knob or two-

A match possibly made in heaven if it weren't for the age difference!

Any ideas here?

As in if it's worth it? Reserve already met at 500. If it's just one bid over that....do it. Mod/crack...who cares....that's a giveaway/fire sale.

*At that price, even if you had to spend a grand at a guitar shop to fix it up a bit, still a deal. Unless the neck is warped to hell or something. Good luck if you go for it.

looks like someone modded an extra passive/active switch, judging from the wiring.

$300 Euros I mean
I don’t own a Sixer of any flavour or think of any justification for buying this. But..

If you aren't currently on the way to the guy's house right now to pick it up @Foal30 , I'm going to be upset (just at the universe, not you). That is a giveaway Wick at that price. GO GET IT! NOW!!!!

Reminds me of the $300 "Orange W Bass" for sale at guitar center I picked up a few years ago ('98 FNA). There was about a 2 second hesitation before my debit card was out.

*This is the universe telling you to play a 6 string, apparently.

*If you're wondering what reason you have to pick this up, it's because it's a fire sale, and not to be an a-hole...but you could easily just re-list this on Reverb for a grand (and still not be a dick). That would still be an amazing price. Damage/mod/need for it... none of that is relevant, this is a giveaway and it seems like someone needs money tonight....so you should...do it.

I wound up sanding the orange stain off that FNA (it was beat to hell), refinished it with wax, listed it as a refin on Reverb and made a $600 profit after fees. Not a bad payday for a fun weekend of "work".

It went for $805 NZ

Tbh I thought Nightmares would be all over it but no

Hopefully I don’t add this to my list of Basses I should have purchased

So the Ibanez showed up in Jewel Blue instead of Pearl White (it was an Amazon purchase) but I don't mind. It's lightweight (poplar body), has a nice neck and action, and sounds great. My mom loves the color and she said I'm gonna have to leave it here at their house (at any rate she wants me to leave it under the tree along with the Rumble amp as a Santa Claus Christmas morning surprise . It has an active bass boost but am not sure what brand the pickups are. But I can tell you this- it sounds great even through the little Fender Rumble 15. It has a bit of grit and growl reminiscent of the bass in the Queesnryche vid below. Wonder if it's the P-J configuration (never had a bass with it before), or is the pickup windings? Perhaps it's the reverse P configuration - never had one of those either-
